The Challenge and Research
Gapson makes batteries for vehicles and e-mobility. But the way they tracked warranty and maintenance was stuck in the past. Everything ran on Excel sheets. Each battery, each customer, each dealer, and each service visit had to be noted by hand. This was slow and easy to get wrong. One small mistake in a sheet could lead to a wrong warranty claim or a lost record.
We spent time with their team to see how a battery moves through its life. It starts at the factory, goes to a dealer, reaches a customer, and later may need service. We found that the same data was being typed again and again at each step. There was no single place to check the true status of a battery. Dealers, service people, and the head office were all working in their own files. Our job was to join all of this into one clear system that everyone could trust.
The Solution & Execution
We did much more than build one app. We set up the full digital base for how Gapson runs battery warranty and maintenance.
We made an app for dealers and an app for service providers. We built a strong admin panel for the head office team. Each battery now carries a barcode. With a quick scan, anyone in the chain can see the battery, its owner, and its full history. No more typing the same thing many times.
Final Results
The whole life of a battery is now tracked online, from the factory to the final service. Data is clean, structured, and stored in one place. Warranty claims are faster and easier to check. Dealers and service teams know exactly what to do. The admin team can see everything in real time and make better choices.
