We built True Labour from scratch to stop fraud and bring fairness to labour, contractors and owners.
The Challenge and Research
Labour management in India's brick kiln industry is a deep and old problem. Three groups depend on each other here. There are the labourers, the contractors, and the kiln owners. But there was very little trust between them.
The same group of workers would often be booked by more than one party for the same job. This is called multiple booking, and it caused fights, delays, and broken promises. Fraud was common. A contractor might take money and not show up. An owner might not know if the workers were skilled or even real. Labourers had no proof of their past work, so they could not show how good they were.
We worked closely with our client, who knows this industry well. We learned how deals are made on the ground and where things go wrong. We saw that the main missing piece was trust. There was no single, honest place where all three groups could check facts, confirm bookings, and rate each other. Without that, every deal carried risk.
The Solution & Execution
We built the True Labour app from scratch to fix this trust gap.
Every user signs in with an OTP, so each person is real and verified. This alone removes a lot of fake activity. The app stops the same labour group from being booked twice for one tender, which ends the multiple booking problem that caused so many fights.
The app shows live labour availability, so owners and contractors can see who is free and ready to work. All three groups get a clear and honest view of each deal. Nothing is hidden.
We added reviews and ratings too. Now a labourer's skill and past work are easy to check. Contractors and owners build a track record they must protect. Good behaviour is rewarded and bad behaviour is seen by all.
